With more than 35 year’s experience as a practicing architect, Sarah set up an architectural practice (Sarah Scott Architects) in Wanaka in1988. Over this time she has worked on numerous projects all over New Zealand, but mostly in Wanaka, Queenstown and the lower South Island. Sarah has been extensively involved with community projects and mentoring of local high school students. Sarah was made a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Architects in 2013.
In 2012 Sarah formed a partnership with her long-term colleague and friend, Barry Condon, creating Condon Scott Architects Ltd.

With more than 15 years experience, Barry’s comprehensive abilities enable him to contribute across the various areas of a project from concept, design development and construction. He is passionate about solving the unique challenges presented with each brief and the constraints of a site to deliver a rewarding outcome for the client.

Irish-trained, Barry graduated in 1998 and spent a formative period of professional development in Dublin during the height of Ireland’s construction boom. With a desire to travel and gain further experience overseas, Barry worked for well known firms Cox Architects (Melbourne) and Architectus (Auckland) before settling in Wanaka and joining the Sarah Scott Architects team in 2005. Barry gained membership to the New Zealand Institute of Architects in 2009 and formed the partnership with Sarah in 2012.
